And there are many more, as you know.

final conclusion: (lift from some website)

The UN Reports demonstrates that:

* Rising pressures for conspicuous consumption can turn destructive, reinforcing exclusion, poverty and inequality;
* Globalization is integrating consumer markets around the world and opening opportunities. But it is also creating new inequalities and new challenges for protecting consumer rights;
* There is a need for the development and application of technologies and methods that are environmentally sustainable for both poor and affluent consumers;
* There is a need to strengthen public action for consumer education and information and environmental protection and to strengthen international mechanisms to manage consumption's global impacts; and
* There is a need to think globally, and act locally, to build on the initiatives of people and foster synergies in the actions of civil society, the private sector and government.

And my next creature/fantasy drawing is on its way guys... In a few days, it wil be up and currently, I am going through some tough time at the moment,personally and professionally. Soon, that will be over, and hence the delay in posting/finishing the fantasy drawing that is underway. This is one post/photograph, that I wanted to post eversince I took it.

Powerful image, Toonrama... Very sobering to see what a destructive species we are. If Mother Nature were our judge I believe she would judge us failures not only for what we do to our planet, but what we do to each other that will ultimately condemn us.

I believe when the human race starts caring for each other, no matter the race, color, religion or belief structure the world will turn around. Not until then. It might be a long wait.

One person CAN make a difference, though. Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King all have shown that. It is the responsibility of the population of the world to take up thier causes, add thier own beliefs and make the difference continue.

Thanks for sharing this photo and your views. You are one person...and so am I.

:hug:

... and remember the people/families with small children inhaling all those garbages !!! Progress, inventions, and productions of new things causes BIG toxic waste to humans and the world ...

Your words are inspiring, dear John... :hug:
I totally agree with you. It is our responsibility, and that way of taking up causes and beliefs, can make a difference. Well said.
A lot of our beliefs/conventions need a little or more modifications and a little dedicated effort towards the change from each of us can make a difference on the whole.
Resources are limited and there is no turning back in this 'forward' journey of ours, as the saying goes, 'whatever we create in this world, whether good or bad, is gonna
be here, may be forever.' It is so true for the material waste that we produce each day.

It has always been my challenge to combine creature/fantasy drawings and social/ecological issues, and is still. Long way to go.

Yes. Is the future bleak?! ? I'm afraid to say this.
There is a box drawn in the middle of the picture, and it is an enclosure of a kid trying to collect stuff garbage there in this stream of waste...He is a child labor working there in the middle of the garbage stream. And lemme give you a link of a photographer who does photography in the same lines... here is the [link] ....

holy shit... well said dude.... it is the future and a current reality.
life can be beautiful - if we remain silent about the things and about the realities that we don't wanna see(or pretend as if we didn't see it).
This place is just outside National games village, dude, and I pass by this place each day and can't stare away from it. Waited for such a long time to hold a cam and take a snap of it. One morning this friend of mine, colleague, had one in his bag.
We both took a few snaps. Notice the kid in the middle of the trash whom I have boxed in the picture. He is some 12 year old kid.
